A custom platform was developed and implemented during Black Hat Saudi Arabia 2025 to enable participant registration and explicit consent for sharing contact information.
Security Testing Simulation System – Black Hat 2025
The platform was designed to deliver a seamless registration experience, centralized operational management, and real-time statistics that supported on-ground teams throughout the event.
Project Overview:
The system was built to operate efficiently within high-density event environments, ensuring:
- Clear and explicit consent before storing participant data.
- A fast and simplified registration experience suitable for on-site usage.
- Centralized management of data and operational statuses.
- Live indicators and statistics to monitor engagement and enable fast decision-making.
The Challenge
The solution needed to:
- Handle a high volume of registrations within short timeframes.
- Ensure transparent consent and clear terms before collecting contact details.
- Enable operational teams to track participant numbers and statuses in real time.
- Maintain performance across multiple devices and fluctuating network conditions during peak crowd periods.
The Delivered Solution
We developed a dedicated Consent Platform integrated with on-site security simulation scenarios, including:
- An optimized registration interface for rapid on-ground use.
- A structured consent flow before storing email or phone data.
- An operational dashboard to manage registrations and monitor participant status.
- Live reports and statistics to support immediate oversight.
Key Features:
- Structured and traceable participant data management after consent approval.
- Mobile-first design to accelerate field registration.
- Real-time dashboard displaying operational metrics.
- User role management for operations and supervision.
- Audit log to document key system activities.
- Scalability to handle peak event traffic.
- Governance and Privacy
The platform followed a consent-first and data minimization approach, supported by clear operational controls to enhance compliance, transparency, and data protection within the event context.
Results:
- Accelerated registration flow and reduced on-site data entry time.
- Real-time participation monitoring through an operational dashboard.
- Structured documentation of consent linked to participant records.
- Reusability and adaptability of the platform for similar cybersecurity events.
